Outreach Services Supervisor at Augusta Health in Fishersville, Virginia

Job Description:

The Outreach Services Supervisor is responsible for operations and coordination of all Outreach Services activities to include supervising staff, performing patient registration, lab order entry, courier services and Outreach client relations. The supervisor ensures compliance with all regulations, policies and practices. Supervisory responsibilities include accuracy of data collection and entry into the Health Information system, courier routes, staff scheduling and timekeeping, hiring, training, mentoring, performance reviews and leading performance improvement initiatives while maintaining service level expectations. This position reports to the Laboratory Administrative Director.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor or associate level or degree completed within one year of hire


• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education

Experience Requirements 

• Prior laboratory experience in a hospital setting preferred


• 2 years of healthcare related experience


• 2 years of progressive leadership or management related position strongly preferred

License Requirements

• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) through NAHAM within one year of hire

Skill Requirements

• Healthcare information systems experience required

• Excellent oral/written communication and interactive skills

• Ability to independently problem solve and manage customer concerns

• Ability to express information in a clear, concise and organized manner

• Demonstrate organizational alignment, critical thinking, time management and customer service centeredness
