The Associate Automation Engineer develops and executes automated scripts for our internal and external systems in accordance with the JetBlue Automation Framework and Software Development Methodology. The Engineer is primarily responsible for creating automated test scripts using tools like UFT or Tosca Test suite, executing these tests and communicating the results. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of software test design, development, quality assurance, and automation. The individual will have good analytical and problem solving skills.
Essential Responsibilities
Work closely with Functional QA leads, Automation Lead and development on the design and development of automated test scripts in accordance with defined requirements or test scenarios.
Develop automation test scripts within our JetBlue Automation Framework for internal and external applications. The applications consist of a wide variety of technologies such as Java, PowerBuilder, Web, .Net, Tibco, Mobile, and Windows client
Use QC/ALM or related product to track Requirements, test cases, scenarios, defects, and maintain execution results for any reporting that is necessary.
Develop any data sets, utilities, functions, or helper scripts needed to support testing.
Assist Functional QA leads and Automation leads in any other ad hoc work to support automation based projects.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
One (1) year experience in Quality Assurance Test Automation
One (1) year experience with SQL Server or Oracle and the ability to write SQL queries
Strong oral and written communication.
Strong knowledge of defect tracking or test management tools such as QC/ALM or similar product.
Strong knowledge of an automation tool such as QTP/UFT or Tosca Test Suite.
Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle and Quality Assurance methodologies
Knowledge of testing various technologies such as but not limited to Windows Client, Web, Web Services, Java, .Net, and Mobile.
Excellent customer service and an understanding of how IT is ultimately delivered to the Customer
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
Experience with version control software
