Job Description:

Job Description

We are welcoming applications for an "Artist in Residence" program this summer in The Musculoskeletal Control and Dynamics Lab at Stevens Institute of Technology, which is part of our National Science Foundation CAREER grant research using sound and music to facilitate balance training in older adults. We are looking for an artist who works with interactive media who has an interest in this application or an interest in designing sound/music for movement training applications. Alternatively/additionally, the artist may have an interest in visual display of data to help us share our biomechanics metrics and results with the public. This position was budgeted in our grant as a temporary position for approximately 1 month full-time (with flexibility for part-time work). Due to the need to interact with physical lab technology, this will be offered as an in-person job (should regulations and community conditions continue to allow us to do so safely). Candidates with existing and developing skills in interactive sound/music design, data visualizations, and/or body-movement driven interface designs are encouraged to apply.

Stevens Institute of Technology is a private university located in Hoboken, New Jersey.
