Premedia Quality Specialist at LSC Communications in Nashville, Tennessee

Job Description:

Responsible for performing inspections of premedia products and processes to ensure conformance to customer specifications, LSC Communications and regulatory quality requirements.

• Performs inspections to assure quality standards are met as assigned.
• Selects packages and labels samples for outside delivery to customers and as instructed.
• Record inspection data per procedures.
• Escalate all quality issues identified in the production process to appropriate personnel for resolution.
• Perform activities to process defective materials identified through inspection processes according to procedures.
• Contribute to the development of instructions and procedures.
• Ensure the proper documentation is in place and followed.
• Offer suggestions to improve processes.
• Successfully completes any and all required training programs.
• Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

• Records location of materials and assigns status.
• Must have general knowledge ON1
• Photoshop, Acrobat and InDesign or other programs related to the premedia process or administrative support.
• Skill in design work and page uniformity.
• Familiarity with photography and the staging of products.

• HS diploma or equivalent with 2-4 years of relevant administrative/operational support in a premedia environment or office environment directly related to the duties of the job, OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of work experience.
• Requires very good knowledge of general/standard administrative/premedia operations procedures and knowledge of job specific processes to successfully execute and complete the more progressive/complex duties of the job.
• Ability to follow company policy and understand any rules or regulations governing the work being completed and impact work has on department or company.
• Must have general knowledge of technology to include computers and software programs such as: MS Office products, MAC, Capture One,
• Photoshop or other programs related to the premedia process or administrative support.
• Requires good knowledge of multiple functions or areas of the business in which there is frequent contact with while completing daily work assignments of the job.
• Must have very good oral and written communication skills sufficient to explain departmental policy, methods and/or procedures when completing assignments.
• Requires very good organizational skills sufficient to accomplish work by established deadlines and ability to coordinate phases of work with others.
