Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. is seeking Mapping Technician. A role which involves data compilation from mobile & terrestrial LiDAR, synthetic point clouds (from UAS imagery) and imagery in a 3D environment. The Mapping Technician reports to the Senior Project Manager and will be responsible for high quality survey & mapping products aligning with project and client expectations.

Responsibilities:

Use of 3D extraction software to generate accurate LiDAR & point cloud mapping products
Set-up tiles and ensure accuracy of LiDAR and imagery prior to extraction efforts
Ensure delineation of break lines and features are accurate and match final mapping scale
Quality assurance reviews of own's data set for accuracy, surface/contour generation, crossing chains, feature delineation, project boundary, and mapping scale

Qualifications:

Ability to coordinate with Survey staff
Fundamental knowledge of Point cloud extraction
Experience with AutoCAD Civil, MassDOT CAD, and Survey base plans preferred
