JOB SUMMARY

Coordinate cross functional groups (EMS, Capabilities, and Business) to develop, test, deploy and sustain the Shop Floor Manufacturing Systems (SFS) and Factory of the Future improvements in all Jabil North America, Global Cloud, and Global Mechanical EMS sites.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Lead North America, Global Cloud Operations, and Global Mechanicals Operations Factory of the Future Steering committee defining EMS strategies and road maps, and coordinate Smart Factory and JEMMS elements leaders.

  • Communicate Smart Factory/SFS concept, model, strategy and vision globally.

  • Define/Integrate Smart Factory/SFS road map integrating the SFS phases, elements and capabilities:

    • Phases: Standardization, Strategy, Self optimization

    • Elements: Data, People, Manufacturing Processes, Materials and Automation

    • Capabilities: NPI PMO, SMEs, WCM, SFS leader.



  • Define the Smart Factory/SFS benefits, savings, and the measure process.

  • Measure and track site, regional, global results linked to Smart Factory/SFS deployment and tools

  • Analyze internal Jabil factories and external (customers, suppliers, industry) smart factory models to identify industrial trends and new solutions to be integrated in Jabil model.

  • Consolidate Jabil EMS model integrating other BUs models.

  • Coordinate activities with Smart Factory/SFS COE team and other functional groups (IT, Sites, Global Quality, etc)

  • Completes long-range planning to support overall goals of the Company. 

  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Reports to VP of Operations. 

  • Job is responsible for influencing site leadership team to deploy Smart Factory/SFS systems.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS


  • Strong knowledge of operations managing multifunctional teams.

  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, processes, Smart Factory/SFS.

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes

  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0 concept, model, trend.

  • Strong knowledge of Project Management activities.

  • Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.

  • Strong and convincing communication skills.

  • Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university. Master’s degree beneficial preferred.

  • PMP or PMI certified preferred.

  • Industry 4.0 or IoT experience preferred

  • Minimum 10 years related work experience with a high volume electronic manufacturing-services company.

  • Extensive experience working in Ops, IT, Manufacturing process and Project Management.

  • Experience of personnel management and development.

  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
