Rental Coordinator - Power Systems at Southworth-Milton, Inc. in Milford, Massachusetts

Overview

Milton CAT is looking for a Rental Coordinator to work in the Power Systems Sales/Rental Division. The coordinator will be responsible for organizing, scheduling, and coordinating the rental of all power systems products for our Milford, MA location.

Responsibilities


  • Work with the used power systems department to purchase used equipment and prepare for sale and delivery.

  • Coordinate the rental of power systems equipment to our Milford based customers, other CAT dealers or independent companies as required.

  • Coordinate work between the shop and the sales department for used power sales.

  • Handle all in-coming rental calls and ensure sales representatives are informed of customer inquiries.

  • Coordinate delivery of rental equipment to job sites and customer locations.

  • Assist customers in locating and choosing the correct machine for their job and application.

  • Monitor project costs and coordinates billing to initiate the invoicing process.

  • Prepare customer invoices on a daily basis, as well as maintains a database of prior invoices.

  • Prepare rental forms and contracts; obtain customer signature and other information as required.

  • Ensure rental agreements for longer rentals are written and filed.

  • Assist in tracking rental inventory and rental accessories - cable, compressor hose, ATS's, trailers.

  • Order vendor parts needed to complete sales.

  • Key user for AX/ERP for rental and used equipment.

  • Keep DBS computer system up to date and make sure all information is complete and accurate.

  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.


Minimum Educational Requirements
  • Associates Degree in Business Administration, communications or related field required. Equivalent education and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of an Associate's degree.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.


  • High school diploma or (GED) equivalent.

  • 2 years experience in retail or rental sales.

  • Strong electrical and mechanic aptitude is beneficial.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Technical knowledge of diesel engine, electrical power generation, power distribution including engine generator sets, system integration design, assembly, installation, commissioning, operation, repair, paralleling switchgear and transfer switches, fuel systems, exhaust systems, enclosures and ancillary equipment is beneficial.

  • Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency, exceeding customer expectations.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic fast paced environment, with minimal supervision.

  • Proficient in the use of a computer and related software (Word, Excel, etc.).

  • Strong problem solving skills and be detailed oriented with a high level of accuracy.

  • Ability to assess customer needs and evaluate customer satisfaction.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management or quality related experience.

  • Technical background in electricity, hydraulics, mechanical drives, engines, and industrial operations.

  • Electrical power, electrician, generator or reciprocating engine experience.
