This position will serve both ADESA Pittsburgh (New Stanton, PA) and ADESA Mercer (Mercer, PA). The District HR Generalist will share time between both sites weekly.
Reports to the District Human Resources Manager. This position will assist in the development and documentation of all Human Resources Policies, Procedures, Forms, Manuals, and Performance Management materials and other duties assigned by the District Human Resources Manager. This position is considered a vital link between management and the employees and must foster a positive, healthy and enthusiastic work environment free of inappropriate behavior. Must know, practice and ensure that company policies and procedures and state and federal laws are followed at all times. The ability to handle assignments that are of a confidential and complex nature with considerable discretion, judgment and tact is imperative.
Job DescriptionEducational Requirements and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with at least 3 years of HR experience is required, preferably in a multi-site and/or multi-state organization. At least one (1) year of exempt Human Resources experience is preferred. SPHR, PHR, or related certification (or progress toward certification) is preferred. Must have knowledge of principles and practices of HR administration, policies, procedures and employment law. Experience with MS Office is required. Experience utilizing payroll/timekeeping systems and recruiting systems is preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
