POSITION PURPOSE


Provides support to the maintenance department and ensures that all preventative maintenance programs, projects and day to day activities are planned, scheduled, and coordinated with manufacturing to optimize production runs and minimize down time in support of achieving Zero Accidents, Zero Waste, and 100% Customer Satisfaction.


Duties include maintenance planning, scheduling, inventory control, and CMMS setup and maintenance; lead and facilitate root cause analysis of downtime occurrences utilizing Systematic Problem Solving and other tools and techniques in support of plant metrics.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES




  1. Work with the plant operations and planning teams to plan and schedule routine maintenance PMs; ensures work requests are entered accurately and completely and acted upon in a timely manner

  2. Generate and follow-up on work orders and ensure that all the required materials are available to complete scheduled work



  1. Responsible for ensuring that all work orders provide clear assignment instructions outlining detailed objectives and goals of each assignment.



  1. Manage and maintain all aspects of the Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS); ensure that all maintenance work is properly entered, conduct work order analysis and audit the system to ensure accuracy; generate and analyze reports in the CMMS system to assist in continuously improving the preventative maintenance program and guiding the site in achievement of other key performance indicators related to maintenance

  2. Work with maintenance crib personnel to analyze stock quantities of spare parts and general use items and recommend stocking levels to support increased critical equipment uptime while optimizing inventory levels

  3. Maintain regular outside contractor PMs and schedule regular service visits in the CMMS (ex: heating/cooling, plumbing, electrical, water system etc.) as required

  4. Support maintenance management investigating and analyzing machinery downtime to assist in determining preventative and corrective actions to eliminate reoccurrences

  5. Participate in plant audits and maintain records to ensure maintenance activities are compliant for safety, environment and quality requirements

  6. Support maintenance on continuous improvement initiatives including upgrades to equipment

  7. Develops and continually updates work procedures including; Safety Risk Assessment, required permits, parts list. and required tools

  8. Gatekeeper for shutdown communication (progress vs.plan)

  9. Negotiate and coordinate with vendors for diagnostic, overhaul, and training support visits

  10. Define, create, generate and distribute reports related to maintenance activities

  11. Perform other related duties as assigned by maintenance management






















EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:



* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.



REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:



* Good knowledge in principles of maintenance planning


* Advanced mechanical aptitude


* Knowledge of CMMS tools, MP2 preferred



EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:



* 5+ years experience in high speed manufacturing environment within maintenance


* Preventative maintenance development



SKILLS/ABILITIES:



* Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office.


* Ability to coach maintenance staff


* Strong mechanical, analytical, and data driven decision making skills


* Strong ability to read and understand equipment manuals


* Excellent written and oral communication
