Duties

As the System Engineer at Lakeland Bank you will be responsible for providing initial design, implementation, optimization, administration and technical documentation of all enterprise infrastructure systems with minimal supervision. You will engineer solutions for vastly complex problems that generally require in-depth analysis and creative thinking where innovation and a wide range of autonomy for decision making is required. The System Engineer will identify errors that are often difficult to detect and perform root cause analysis in finding resolution to problems that typically lack precedent. You will provide oversight for the development and implementation of procedures that ensure systems support the Bank's business requirements, meet compliance/security requirements, and meet the needs of end users. The System Engineer is responsible for the research, recommendation, development, and integration of new technologies to meet the goals and support the strategic initiatives of the organization. Additionally, you will provide recommendations for IT budgetary decisions and assists with written justification.

Key Responsibilities:

    Structure, plan, organize, develop, implement and manage all enterprise event management activities including server, database application and facilities event management. Establish work plans in conjunction with Business and IT Delivery leadership.
  • Identify trends, implement new solutions/processes that resolve customer issues and continually strive toward moving from a reactive state to a proactive state.

  • Ensure all compliance related tasks are completed and further focuses on automating repeated tasks.

  • Swiftly resolve issues that affect the availability of production systems.

  • Create and maintain run books for all IT procedures.

  • Assist in developing and maintaining IT Governance processes, knowledge management repository and recommend automation tasks to eliminate manual processes.

  • Accountable for meeting SLAs by removing obstacles, delivering on services and providing broad, technical and service quality leadership.

  • Encourages and promotes the concept of exceptional customer service.

  • Strong emphasis on the need to provide continuous and improving customer service and support.

  • Attends weekly team meetings and provides a status report each week.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements


  • Technical School Certificate in Information Technology or relevant field.

  • Three (3) years' experience in a Technical environment.

  • Experienced in administering an Exchange email environment locally hosted and cloud based. Migrating of email workload to Exchange On-line a plus

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

  • Proficiency in workings of Windows OS, including AD including GPO, DNS, IIS, WINS, DHCP, FTP, SMTP, and Windows System Architecture Management, NTFS and Share Permissions.

  • Experienced with Microsoft EMS (Enterprise Mobility + Security).

  • Experienced with Microsoft SCCM and WSUS.

  • Experienced and knowledgeable in creating workstation images as well as related push-packages.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with all levels of internal and external customers.

  • Experienced with Microsoft inTune MDM (Mobility Data Management).

  • Outstanding customer service skills; The ability to act professionally in all situations (vendor, customer, team, department, and company) with a positive, helpful approach/attitude.

  • Ability to multitask and manage a large and varied workload in a sometimes-high pressure environment.

  • Ability to work well under pressure with competing priorities

  • Experienced with Microsoft AAD (Azure Active Directory) and related SSO/MFA configurations.

  • Ability to write technical documentation, procedural run books, and create management reports and metrics.

  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills required.

  • Must demonstrate an understanding of performance metrics and KPI methodologies.

  • Must be bondable.
