Job Description:

SUMMARY: Senior Business Analyst is a disciplined, structured, and formal approach to analyzing a business process, identifying improvements, and implementing changes so that the business can better achieve its goals. This position will spearhead the analytics and FP&A reporting for the Outside Plant (OSP) business unit and reports directly to the Director of Finance. The OSP Senior Business Analyst also works as a liaison among stakeholders to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems. The Business Analyst understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its financial goals. The Business Analyst will pour over a Business Unit's (BU) data and use findings to help BU management make business decisions relative to the day-to-day operations of the business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned:
• create, analyze and distribute relevant financial reporting
• provide useful, reliable and relevant financial data for ongoing business support
• identify trends and developments and provide financial decision support
• create, analyze and distribute key metrics for the business and down to the project level
• create, analyze and distribute business models
• create, analyze and distribute forecasting models
• create and analyze processes and work flows within the business unit
• review technical systems in order to find improvements in business cases
• host financial review sessions with operational lead teams within the OSP business unit
• responsible for oversight of pro-forma business case models for pricing quotes to customers
• spot inefficiencies
• ensure proper internal controls and fiscal oversight are in place
• good listening skills

• expertise in prioritization, based on needs of multiple stakeholders
• good negotiation skills, to seek timely buy-in on important decisions and prioritization from all stakeholders

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• Degree from a four-year college or university; Five to ten years related experience and/or training.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is highly desirable.
• Experience in general accounting, finance, financial analysis and financial reporting.
• Preferred knowledge and experience with the services industry, specifically the telecommunications service industry, or like business entities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Previous experience with forecasting and budgeting highly desirable.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX Finance or Microsoft D365 F&O (Finance & Operations) highly desirable.
