Patient Care Technician PCT - Float Pool (PRN) at Augusta Health in Fishersville, Virginia

Job Description:

Augusta Health currently has an as needed day shift Float Pool Patient Care Technician opportunity available.

Under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse, the PCT performs various duties assisting unit staff nurses and clerical specialists to ensure efficient unit operations and safe patient care following established procedures. Includes bathing, dressing and feeding of patients, performing vital signs, phlebotomy and Ekg's.

The Float Pool PCT will be assigned to different units based on staffing needs.

Requirements

• Must have current licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant or have completed the first round of clinical rotations in a RN program.


• Positive attitude, with enthusiasm for caring for our community


• Strong verbal and written communication skills


• Effective time management skills
