Transportation Coordinator at Lands End Inc in Dodgeville, Wisconsin

Job Description:

The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, communication and dispatching of all outbound shipments within the Dodgeville and Reedsburg Distribution Centers. It includes the timely booking of pickups and dispatch of packages by transportation carrier and service level. Responsible for trailer tracking, package tracking and outbound transportation service metrics.

• Coordinate and dispatch all domestic and international packages out of Dodgeville and Reedsburg Distribution Centers.
• Manage chute report to set chute assignments out of Dodgeville and Reedsburg.
• Configure trailer number or container for each chute assignment.
• Perform the role of liaison between all distribution centers, logistics providers, shipping, and Lands' End leaders. Work directly     with these groups to provide clear and accurate status updates on outbound freight.
• Analyze various operation/transportation scenarios and appropriately decide the best course of action for each circumstance.
• Ensure appropriate action(s) are being implemented so that freight is picked-up and delivered to meet our customer service   guidelines. Communicate all exceptions in a timely manner to all vested parties for follow-up.
• Responsible for ordering supplies, planning and assigning equipment including shipping containers and skids to distribution center.
• Escalate service failures and issues to ensure customer satisfaction and timely resolution.

Successful candidates should have the following skills and abilities: 

• Strong PC knowledge and proficient in LE systems with ability to multi-task between various systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to both internal and external customers.
• Ability to display leadership and work in a team environment.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving, prioritization skills and ability to make critical time sensitive decisions
• Work independently in a fast-paced environment, under minimal supervision; pay acute attention to details to meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities
• Ability to be a Licensed forklift operator
• Dual site responsibilities involve traveling to Reedsburg (every other week or as needed).
