Job Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for the support of EDI by implementing new EDI trading partners, maintaining existing EDI trading partners, assisting Business Analysts with creating functional specs, status reports and training material for projects.

  • Act effectively as point-of-contact on status of EDI transactions from internal and external customers.

  • Conduct and perform analysis of EDI transactions, document and produce metric reports.

  • Conduct EDI processes-setup to test and implement all mandatory EDI mapping.

  • Collaborate with clients to manage business related processes per the service level agreement.

  • Create relationships with third party vendors and external clients to implement CORE 270/271, 276/277 and 837/835 claims transactions.

  • Develop and prepare EDI documentation for internal and external use.

  • Manage daily operations of all HIPAA 270/271,837(P/D/I),834, 820, NCPDP, 276/277 and 835 transactions and sub-systems application development area focused on Java, COTS (i.e. XEServer, XEngine, XEConnect and Operating rules) and SQL/PLSQL technologies.

  • Ensure the application development area uses sound practices and processes for implementing custom developed and packaged solutions.

  • Act as subject matter expert for EDI HIPAA 270/271, 837, 835, 834, 820, 278, 276/277 and NCPDP transactions.



Experience/Preferred Skills Required:



  • Bachelor's degree with 1+ years of demonstrated experience with Java/J2EE.

  • Knowledge of XML, JMS, SOAP/MIME webservices.

  • Knowledge of X12, NCPDP, HIPAA 5010 transactions, or any other EDI frameworks.

  • Knowledge of Relational databases (Oracle preferred with SQL and PL/SQL).

  • Some exposure to working on the Unix/Linux platform and shell scripting.

  • Some exposure to Cloud based platforms such as AWS (Amazon Web Services) or Oracle Cloud and defect management system (ex. JIRA, version control system, SVN).

  • Java/J2EE certification, SQL/PLSQL certification or AWS certification, would be a plus to have.
