The State of Connecticut, Department of Transportation (DOT) invites its qualified agency employees to apply for the TransportationMaintainer 4 (Bridge) position located in Old Saybrook Bridge Maintenance Facility. We have a great opportunity for you to advance in your career within the Department of Transportation. You will support and work with a team that is working to maintain and repair the Department of Transportation's bridge's within District 2 area. The work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., 37.5 hours per week.

PLEASE NOTE: Prior to being eligible for interview, applicants must have harness and fall protection training, a respirator physical, a current respirator fit test and be in compliance with the Department's Respirator Policy.
*For employees in the classified service, permanent status is obtained after successful completion of a working test period. For employees in the unclassified service, permanent status is obtained after serving in a position for at least six months (full-time equivalent).The minimum experience and training requirements must be meet by the closing date on the job posting, unless otherwise specified.
Candidates invited to interview will be evaluated to determine if they meet the qualifications to proceed further with the Transportation Maintainer 4 Practicum, in accordance with the Department's Practicum Guidelines.
Candidates must indicate they hold a current and valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tank endorsement and a valid Medical Examiner's Card in the "Licenses and Professional Certifications" section of the application.

- Low bed type trailer tractor
