HOW YOU WILL DO IT

Purpose Statement: The Manager of Talent Acquisition is a highly visible role accountable for leading the Talent Acquisition function for Plexus Global. This individual will provide leadership to a recruiting team consisting of direct reports and will oversee the development, implementation and delivery of world class Talent Acquisition services. Successful individuals will partner with business leaders, hiring managers and HR professionals to establish and drive overall talent acquisition strategies.

Key Job Accountabilities:


  • Provide leadership and mentoring to the talent acquisition team, executing effective recruiting strategies, plans and processes, implementing best practices and technology.

  • Design, implement and drive the hiring practices to fit Plexus' culture. Build an employment brand that leverages and promotes our strengths in order to increase attraction and drive quality hires.

  • Possess strong commitment to an internal consultative approach, achieving strategic and operational excellence and delivering exceptional customer service.

  • Partner with business leaders on recruitment strategies and to plan for future talent needs utilizing both external and internal talent.

  • Develop and utilize metrics to ensure clear understanding of recruiting practices and from those metrics drive continuous improvement.

  • Accountable to execute on Plexus' Best People strategy, leaders will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning and ensuring that their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.

Additional Accountabilities:


  • Drive team to build and maintain active candidate pipelines for hard-to-fill, high volume, or critical positions; establish regular strategic staffing sessions to determine priority pipeline positions.

  • Closely monitor the recruitment process and ensure candidate decisions are made in a timely manner according to processes and standards.

  • Develop and implement staffing plans and strategies that ensure diversity, high quality, and cultural/organizational fit throughout the recruitment and hiring process.

  • Provide strategic direction and maintain consistency in recruiting practices/philosophy with non-U.S. locations

  • Responsible for attracting, qualifying, selecting and hiring professional and management candidates.

  • Provide coaching and career development opportunities to ensure continuous improvement of the team.

  • Counsel and coach employees, supervisors and senior management in hiring practices

  • Oversee external vendor process including annual contract renewal and Preferred Partner relationships.

  • Develop and maintain networking relationships with community organizations, colleges and universities, alumni organizations, industry organizations, employees and colleagues contacts to help identify and source qualified talents.

  • Minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated 20%).

  • Additional duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Qualifications:


  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required; a Bachelor's degree in Business or Human Resources is preferred.

  • Five (5) years of related experience is required; Three (3) years of equivalent industry experience is preferred.

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of full lifecycle talent acquisition experience hiring professional and management level talent.

  • Minimum three (3) to five (5) years' experience leading a team/managing direct reports, in high volume large corporate environment.

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.

Work Environment:

  • The work setting should consist of an office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a low noise level.
