The warehouse/forklift operator is responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count product. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform Order Filler and Checker duties.
Essential Functions:
Receiving / Put Away: unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations
Efficiently stack and store product in the appropriate areas
Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free from damage. Report quality variances
Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring accuracy of orders pulled, is loaded and shipped
Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards
Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift
Maintain equipment and materials in a net, clean, and orderly fashion
Complete daily inspection of equipment
Ensure proper stock rotation
Complete and submit daily paperwork as required
Use Radio-frequency equipment for receive, put away, and load functions as required (SAP)
Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety; comply with OSHA and MSDS standards
Maintain a clean work area through daily sanitation
Support the plant's efforts of DAMAWAY (Danone's system of continuous improvements)

About you
ABOUT YOU:
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED required
Minimum of two (2) years Forklift certified experience required in a fast pace warehouse environment
Forklift related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to use a computer and knowledge of SAP preferred
Ability to drive a Forklift
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
Ability to navigate tight spaces
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Must have excellent math skills, ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
Reasoning Ability:
Must have the ability to understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Requires normal range of hearing and vision (including colors) to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports and laboratory results
