The Database Analytics Developer will focus on the complete analysis, design and development of BI solutions using SQL Server. This role will partner with the Business Team to determine end user database / reporting needs and requirements. Intrigued? Responsibilities

    Complete analysis, design and development of BI solutions using SQL Server
  • Database development primarily in SSRS, SSAS, and SQL

  • Partner with the business to determine end user database/reporting needs and requirements

  • Generate ad hoc reports and regular datasets or report information for end-users using system tools and database or data warehouse queries and scripts

  • Assist with DBA duties to support development tasks

  • Collaborate with other developers to create and implement BI best approach solution(s)

  • Troubleshoot BI tools, systems, and software

  • Review queries for performance issues, making changes as needed

  • Collaborate with team to performance-tune BI applications as necessary

  • Apply nascent statistical and machine learning techniques to create solutions for business problems

  • Assist with the analysis and extraction of relevant information from large amounts of historical business data to feed data science initiatives

  • Assist with the design, development and evaluation of models for predictive learning initiatives

  • Participate and support the design and documentation of processes for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation and model implementation

  • Support and maintain a positive safety culture by following all safety policies and procedures and actively contributing to a safe working environment

  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree required. Degree in Computer Science or Mathematics preferred

  • Minimum of four years of experience in an IT or analytical role required. Experience in database development, report writing and/or statistics preferred.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge (theoretical or practical understanding of a subject)

    • SQL programming

    • Knowledge of MS SQL Server and the associated components (SSRS, SSAS)

    • Knowledge of the Microsoft reporting application stack (SharePoint, Power Pivot, Power View)

    • Knowledge of Microsoft emerging BI solutions

    • Knowledge of the Data Science tool belt, including one or more of Python, R, SAS, Matlab, Spark, or other statistical/machine learning software



  • Skills (proficiencies developed through training or experience)

    • Reporting tools

    • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, department managers, and IT executives

    • Statistical analysis



  • Abilities (qualities of being able to do something)

    • Effectively communicate in English

    • Ability to work in a fast paced, continuously changing environment

USD $70,000.00/Yr.

For US Based Roles Only - Compensation Range Maximum

USD $95,000.00/Yr.
