BASIC PURPOSE:The Workforce Solutions (WFS) Per Diem Staffing Specialist will have primary responsibility for leading and managing the per diem needs for aligned facilities. Prompt, timely and thorough communication, while providing superior customer service between healthcare professional (HCP), facility client, subcontractor partners and Cross Country Staffing is of paramount importance in this role. In addition to the role of Staffing Specialist, he / she will be responsible for assisting and supporting the WFS team aligned to facilities to ensure delivery of exceptional service.
Cross Country Staffing (CCS) provides Per Diem and Managed Service support 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, therefore working hours may need to be flexible to ensure comprehensive scheduling.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Demonstrate knowledge of all Workforce Solutions programs, as well as core operational processes for travel and per diem services.* Work with subcontractors to ensure they have all the information necessary to submit and schedule candidates.* Collaborate with WFS Per Diem onboarding team reviewing all per diem applicant profiles from CCS recruiters and subcontractors to ensure they are complete and appropriate.* Work with WFS team members to ensure per diem candidates are screened, interviewed and processed in a timely fashion.
*Manage per diem orders in VMS technology platform including, but not limited to:


  • Assisting facilities with anticipation of needs and proactive ordering

  • Receiving orders via telephone or email from client facilities.

  • Distribution of needs to subcontractors

  • Follow up calls to HCP's re scheduling and available shifts

  • Follow up calls to subcontractors to solicit candidates

  • Confirmation of candidates within 'confirmation window'

  • Cancellation and reposting of orders, as necessary

  • Scheduling of candidates

  • Proactively contact units/ facilities in response to HCP requests providing updated availability to work.

* Collaborate with WFS Credentialing team to ensure all candidate credentials are effectively managed, including, but not limited to:

  • Conducts thorough credential quality review of per diem profiles and documents for all CCS brand and Subcontractor HCPs

  • Credential entry / upload into VMS technology system

  • Credential verifications

*Manage and utilize all tools and systems including but not limited to VMS Technology, and SCOUT.

  • Utilize VMS activity reports to gain comprehensive view of WFS staffing needs / utilization

  • Utilize SCOUT Hospital Manager notes to promote per diem needs to recruiters of existing travelers and document HCF per diem issues for internal tracking and communication

  • Serve as VMS technology subject matter expert, trainer and resource for facility and subcontractors users

* Collaborate with WFS Credential Management team to ensure all CCS & Subcontractor WFS per diem professionals are 100% compliant* Establishing and managing relationships with facilities and a pool of healthcare professionals; working to match the needs of both, meeting and /or exceeding Service Level Agreements* Actively participates in the completion of accurate internal and external audits.* Assist with on-boarding & off-boarding of per diem healthcare professionals* Serve as the liaison for Subcontractors to assist in answering questions and facilitating problem resolution. * Serve as the liaison for healthcare facility to assist in answering questions, facilitating problem resolution and escalation of issues to aligned Clinical Managers and WFS leadership* Provide outstanding communication and customer service to HCP, subcontractors and facilities in support of CCS Standards of Excellence* Accountable for achieving facility specific Service Level Agreement Guarantee's and individual schedulers performance metrics, including but not limited to:* Fill rates* Communication / telephone response time* Communicate and participate in regularly scheduled meetings with WFS Team as well as facilities daily staffing meetings.* Represent and support the business initiatives of Cross Country Staffing internally and externally.* Service all internal and external customers and subcontractors in a positive manner at all times.* Other duties assigned with or without accommodation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in staffing industry

  • Workforce Solution staffing experience strongly preferred

  • Prior management and operations experience strongly preferred

  • Strong scheduling skills.

  • Possess reasonable computer skills and be willing to learn other web based software applications/programs.

  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills

  • Handle several conflicting priorities, must be flexible, be willing to assist and fill in as needed.
