Job Summary: Under the direction of the HMFP Chief Communications Officer (CCO), the position of Internal Communications & Marketing Manager will support the CCO create and launch a state-of-the-art internal communications and B2B marketing platform for the organization. The position will oversee the development and distribution of internal communication efforts as well as support physician-to-physician marketing, recruitment, and retention efforts.

This position requires an individual to be a passionate storyteller with the ability to communicate across multiple platforms (editorial, social, video, digital, web, infographics), is experienced working within complex, matrixed organizations, and can work efficiently and collaboratively with executive leadership and departmental teams to achieve goals.

Essential Responsibilities:


  1. Oversee editorial, design, and distribution process for HMFP's primary weekly newsletter and several special topic editions. Serve as point person with senior leadership and 13 departments to create editorial calendar, manage story content, layout and design. Coordinate departmental newsletter HMFP brand and identity efforts. In addition, contribute to agenda development.

  2. Has the authority to direct and support managers with functional area responsibilities. Has the direct responsibility to undertake the following employment actions: hiring, termination, corrective action and performance reviews. Direct Reports: None Indirect Reports: None


  3. Assists in planning, monitoring and/or managing budget in functional area of department.



Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

  2. 5-8 years related work experience required in Marketing and communications experience. and 1-3 years supervisory/management experience required

  3. Advanced skills with Microsoft applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access and other web-based applications. May produce complex documents, perform analysis and maintain databases.

  6. Knowledge: Ability to demonstrate broad and comprehensive knowledge of theories, concepts, practices and policies with the ability to use them in complex and/or unprecedented situations across multiple functional areas.


  7. Team Work: Ability to lead collaborative teams for larger projects or groups both internal and external to the Medical Center and across functional areas. Results have implications for the management and operations of multiple areas of the organization.


  8. Customer Service: Ability to provide a high level of customer service to patients, visitors, staff and external customers in a professional, service-oriented, respectful manner using skills in active listening and problem solving. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
