Since the doors opened in 1972, this factory has grown dramatically into a sustainable state-of-the-art facility. In 2013, we completed our largest solar project yet by installing a 450-kilowatt photovoltaic system of nearly 1,900 panels. The amount of energy produced annually by this solar array could power nearly 52 average-sized homes, or approximately 5,000 lights bulbs for an entire year. With sustainability and safety always top of mind, our Atlanta factory proudly and passionately produces 460,000 tons a year of our dry pet food brands, including Alpo®, Beneful®, Cat Chow®, Dog Chow®, Fit & Trim®, Friskies®, Nestlé Purina ONE® and Pro Plan®. This plant location is just along the southern crescent of Metro Atlanta - an area that nearly 5 million residents and over 340 of our associates can call home. As the Maintenance Manager, you will oversee all maintenance operations at the Fairburn, GA Factory. This includes equipment and facilities maintenance, storeroom functions, and management of repair budget for optimal results. This position is also responsible for safe work practices and providing quality services for all departments.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide a clear and focused direction for the department to enable all team members to work effectively in accomplishing goals and providing superior maintenance service for the Fairburn factory operations.
• Support and participate in the implementation of maintenance methodologies (Planned Maintenance Pillar and foundations) to support Total Production Management (TPM).
• Manage annual maintenance budget. Assist with the reporting and tracking of the maintenance budget. Manage maintenance salaried and hourly working hours. Analyze under/over spending and propose and execute corrective actions.
• Provide systems for effective maintenance work scheduling to handle the daily and long-term needs of the Fairburn factory operations.
• Provide technical assistance to Engineering, Maintenance, Quality and Production personnel to support factory operations. Recommend improvements to current operations to maintain a state-of-the-art facility.
• Monitor storeroom functions in order that effective materials purchases and parts inventories are maintained consistent with plant needs.
  
  

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment and 2+ years of supervisory experience.

OR

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline with 2+ years of experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment and 1+ years of supervisory experience
