Job Description:

The Tech Supervisor, Studio is responsible for supporting the control room, using hands-on knowledge and skills to anticipate needs and troubleshoot issues.

What You Will Do:


  • Act as the primary technical support for operations for control room and studio for specified times


  • Work with network engineering and operations to ensure needs are met in control room and studio


  • Provide support in managing incoming signals from the field.


What You Will Bring:

Education & Experience/Certifications


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience


  • 7+ years professional experience in live television


Skills & Abilities


  • Must work well under the pressure of a live broadcast.


  • Must be able to make quick decisions and give accurate instructions.


  • Ability to solve problems under pressure and apply hands-on knowledge to do so.


  • Possess excellent organizational and communication skills.


  • Must understand the entire scope of needs in the studio and control room.


  • Good knowledge of IT applications in relation to television broadcast equipment.


Work Environment

  • Willing to work varied shifts, including a primary shift from midday – 9pm.
