(DISA) Unix/Oracle DBA - 100% Remote - TOP SECRET

(Note: Must have an active Top Secret Clearance and current Security + CE to be considered)

SOC is currently seeking a Senior UNIX & Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to participate in a collaborative team environment supporting a U.S. Government contract that provides personnel security management support to the DoD. This position demands exceptional technical, collaboration and communication skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Database Administration (migration, replication, storage, optimization, troubleshooting, restoration)


• Database Administration Documentation


• Data/Database Cybersecurity Management


• Database Administration collaboration, communication and coordination (internal & external)


• Mentor less experienced team members

REQUIRED:

• USA Citizen


• Current Top-Secret clearance (based on SSBI investigation)


• Active Security + CE Certification


• 8 years' experience Unix and Oracle (12c or newer) Database Administration/relational databases


• 5 years' experience Windows Database Administration/relational databases


• 3 years' experience Data/Database Cybersecurity Management, Database Administration Documentation


• 3 years' experience Database Optimization and Performance Tuning


• Proficiency in Oracle SQL*Plus, SQL*Loader, and Data Pump Utility


• SME in Data sync/replication tools, specifically Golden Gate and RMAN, across all IT environments


• Must effectively demonstrate and articulate experience performing Unix, Oracle and Windows DBA tasks (migration, replication, storage, optimization, troubleshooting, restoration) across all IT environments with attention to detail to support diagnostic and restoration skills


• Must effectively manage and meet deadlines within tight schedules and be able to quickly reprioritize tasks without loss of productivity


• Experience prioritizing workload, process improvement solutions and monitoring progress to meet operational duties and high-priority deadlines with little oversight


• Proficient with Web application development and Web technologies are required. Knowledge of Object-Oriented design principles, MVC concepts, and data and object models


• Experience with Agile, Iterative, Waterfall and hybrid methodologies

PREFERRED:

• Experience supporting security clearance and suitability systems across all IT environments


• Experience executing data extracts, data transfers, creating MS Excel PIVOT Tables, using Oracle SQL Developer 18 or newer to import/export data to/from flat files and spreadsheets


• Pentaho & Pentaho BA working with Views, Materialized Views, and Procedures


• Creating and executing Disaster Recovery Plans


• Prior experience supporting a WebLogic application server


• Experience with Jira, ServiceNow, Horizon (Virtual Desktop Interface)


• Proficiency in peer-to-peer script review, feedback and mentoring
