Shore United Bank is looking for a Marketing Specialist to join our growing team! The Marketing Specialist is responsible for performing duties to support the Marketing Department. These duties include social media, press releases, newsletter creation, basic ad design, and content for all marketing channels.
Essential Functions
Prepare a monthly newsletter to promote the vision, goals, and mission of Shore United Bank
Coordinate timely retrieval of necessary information from different departments to include in monthly newsletter based on relevant events and happenings within the company.
Provide educational content to employees to help generate referrals across companies.
Promote community vision and mission through employee involvement, photos, and testimonials.
Highlight employees to create a more connected work community throughout our wide geographic footprint.
Distribute monthly newsletter during the first week of each month
Monitor and execute Chamber Membership opportunities
Maintain a centralized portal of chamber benefits including membership levels and supporting information.
Create timely eblasts to promote established marketing campaigns to support company growth goals.
Collaborate with chamber contacts to understand features and benefits of each membership.
Design and schedule monthly advertisements with supporting message and eStatement banner advertisements to promote products and services on monthly bank statements.
Assist in preparing timely content and videos to promote and drive engagement through various social media channels, such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
Provide support to the Marketing Department
Monitor ads for accuracy and compliance and obtain appropriate approvals.
Respond to marketing requests received by phone, e-mail, or the company intranet in a timely and professional manner.
Monitor and fulfill marketing components of company donation and sponsorship opportunities, including logo distribution, ad creation, and providing branded messaging for radio ads, loudspeaker announcements and printed programs
Collaborate with the marketing team to discuss layout designs and content.
Assist with writing ad content for multiple media channels: print, digital, and social.
Assist with ad placement for multiple media channels.
Prepare press releases as assigned, obtain appropriate approvals, and distribute to media.
Assist with planning events and attend as needed.
Perform various duties to support and monitor online and digital channels of campaigns, communications, and social media
Review and respond to customer requests and communications via electronic channels as assigned.
Modify website content for company website as requested.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time non-exempt position, Monday through Friday.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field of study required.
A minimum of one (1) year related banking, marketing or communication experience required.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
General knowledge of bank products and services
Ability to manage multiple priorities daily
Ability to work well independently and as a group
Proficient computer skills; specifically, Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
Moderate Adobe Suite skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
