General Summary:

Directly execute the receipt of purchased and manufactured finished goods. Support corporate net sales objectives by striving to continually meet or exceed company on-time shipping goals by providing timely distribution of product. Insure that inventory accuracy goals are met and maintained. Provide day to day operational support to manufacturing, purchasing, and logistics personnel.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate with plant scheduling and purchasing to identify and resolve key material issues preventing customer on time delivery.

  • Coordinate stocking requirements with business unit personnel as well as purchasing team.

  • Monitor and ensure accurate and timely receipts of manufactured inventory and purchased parts to be completed by hourly distribution team members.

  • Ensure the availability of goods to prevent shipment delays from occurring through organized stocking, labeling, and proper inventory relief of purchased and manufactured parts. Research and proactively resolve recurring issues.

  • Communicate and resolve quality issues involving purchased and manufactured goods.

  • Identify and work with other departments to set up inventory related master data of new product and create the appropriate space needed in the warehouse.

  • Prepare and deliver shop floor paperwork. Determine what paperwork should be delivered and when.

  • Monitor excess project/sales order stock.

  • Identify, document, and implement changes that need to be made to existing processes and standard operating procedures

  • Coordinate and execute cycle counting activities

  • Lead and implement inventory reduction projects

  • May supervise shop team members.

  • Work with 3rd party contracted warehousing and business unit manufacturing to support corporate lead time initiatives.

  • Support new and existing product development releases to the shop floor. This includes defining process flow and creating or updating routings, replenishment policies, capacity planning and standard operating procedures.

Job Qualifications:

Work requires a professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, which is equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a regular four-year college program.

Between 1-3 years of work experience is required.


  • Moderate analytical ability required. Any analysis requires breaking down of information to determine its elements, historical comparisons, interpretation of data to identify trends in situations where the problems are somewhat complex.

  • Familiarity period of 7-12 months.

Business Unit Specific Qualifications:

Previous logistics or distribution/warehousing inventory experience a plus.
