The Analyst Strategic Planning will support the Heavy Maintenance Planning team by collecting, analyzing and presenting data of importance relating to Heavy Maintenance to the Technical Operations (Tech Ops) workgroup. The Analyst will utilize historical data and predictive models to supply information for use by Leadership in various decision making capacities towards optimizing JetBlue maintenance planning.
Essential Responsibilities
Assist in development and maintenance of check bid packages
Interface with Engineering, Technical Support, and other JetBlue customers to quote additional check workload with MROs and align with HMV schedule, promoting efficiency
Evaluate work packages to determine span requirements and validate MRO commercial proposals for accuracy
Analyze and report long term maintenance demand with regular refreshes to reflect changes in maintenance program, aircraft and resource utilization, and work opportunity
Conducts data and/or statistical analyses on maintenance workload demand and acquittal
Tracks and trends schedule performance for delays and other forms of added work, rate of change, and check yield, among other metrics
Supports departmental efforts to develop and maintain metrics across a broad range of key performance indicators and corporate goals.
Prepare ad hoc reporting and analyses including contributing data and spreadsheet preparation

Minimum Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering, Aviation, Statistics, Quantitative, or other related field
Two (2) year experience working with data management or data analysis
Proficiency with MS Office applications (Access, Excel including VBA, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Working knowledge of statistics and other data analysis concepts
Familiarity with relational database management and programming concepts
Ability to learn and understand new software in detail
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
Currently in possession of a valid passport or equivalent to travel in and out of the United States
Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
Working experience at an airline, airport, or other aviation-related organization
Holds FAA Airman Certification (Pilot's License, A&P License, Dispatcher License) or has undertaken equivalent academic courses for pre-requisite aviation knowledge
Proficiency with Structured Query Language (SQL) programming
Experience with statistical analysis and reporting tools such as Python, R programming, etc
Experience with content management systems such as SharePoint
Experience with statistical analysis and reporting tools such as Tableau or TIBCO Spotfire
Understanding of markup programming languages (HTML/XML)
Understanding of text mining concepts
Ability to draft written analyses, present reports in lecture style formats, and explain technical subjects to audiences of varying skills and backgrounds
Ability to work effectively with professionals from diverse technical areas
Possess strong team building interpersonal skills
