PSI, an Intertek Company, a leading provider of ATIC (Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification) Services, is looking for Environmental/Industrial Hygiene Technicians to join our Building and Construction Environmental Consulting team in Schenectady, NY.

From testing, inspection and certification services to building sciences solutions, the company delivers Total Quality Assurance to the built environment.

The Environmental/Industrial Hygiene Technician will be performing remediation oversight, air sampling, bulk sampling of building materials and soils, compiling reports and other services to support our environmental projects. Technicians will also be trained to prepare Phase I environmental assessment reports.

Duties:

• Perform third-party asbestos air monitoring and project monitoring per regulations during on-going asbestos abatement activities.
• Hazardous Material Building Inspections.
• Environmental Sampling
• Phase I ESA assistance

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Project Monitor certification preferred but will train successful candidates


• Asbestos Building Inspector license preferred but will train successful candidates


• Good verbal and written communication skills


• Ability to travel, work nights and weekends


• Proof of Clean Driving Record
