Manual spinning is a professional craft whereby the lathe operator manually shapes each part by applying pressure to the material utilizing a combination of upper body strength, lower body leverage, and special forming tools; generally between 6 and 9ft. in length.  Automatic spinning is a professional craft much like manual spinning; however, the lathe operator uses a PNC or CNC machine to form the parts.  Once the automatic machine is programmed, there is little to no manual shaping required.

General Descriptions:

Operators are utilized throughout our manufacturing process to build product for our customers. Operators normally work independently; however, depending upon the work schedule assignments can often change from general cleaning, painting, sorting parts, etc.   Whether working as a team or independently normal daily tasks will require the Operator to lift variable weights, bend, twist, use basic hand tools, push or pull and think safety on every task.  Due to the nature of the job, operators continuously shift body weight, hand location, and grip reducing static posture positioning.

Continuously working to improve our safety culture is critical to our business model and continual growth.  We routinely review and upgrade our processes to reflect the latest available safety technology, including the use of manually/automatic operated hoists, cranes, carts, forklifts, tables and other devices to reduce the potential for repetitive related injuries. We also instruct our employees to use proper lifting techniques, hand/body positioning, buddy system, and other fundamental safety practices when performing tasks.

* Due to our manufacturing environment, prescription drugs that cause drowsiness are strictly prohibited
