TK Elevator is currently seeking a Mechanical Technician I or II in Atlanta, GA.
Work with engineers to assist in development of test equipment for elevator components, assemblies and systems and with installation of elevator subsystems, components and mockups. Position includes general lab maintenance, conducting tests, component fabrication, and assembly of test fixtures.
Essential Functions
Read requirements and specifications to fully understand the systems required for the components being used
Assess, plan and produce test fixtures
Conduct testing
Provide training for newer employees on product and process.
Operates with limited supervision
Works with others to create SOPs and create / implement safety protocols
Adherence to all company safety procedures and standards
Conducts 6S and safety audits
Adherence to corporate compliance policy, including performing all duties in a professional and responsible manner
Completion of work in a timely and efficient manner
Extensive product and installation process knowledge
Perform special projects and other duties as assigned
What we look for
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Two years of college, technical institute courses or equivalent work experience is desirable.
2+ years of related experience is preferred; comprehension of general mechanical engineering concepts is required.
Must possess good customer service skills.
