Payroll Specialist - 6 months (temp to perm)

Santa Clara, CA

Your Goal:

Organization: Corporate Accounting:The Accounting team is central to Chegg - supporting every business line and functional organization at the company, nationally and worldwide. This role reports to the Sr. Payroll Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will be expected to:

• Full Cycle Semi-Monthly payroll processing for all exempt and non-exempt employees in Workday


• Review and process all New Hires and Terminations


• Review and manage hourly time sheets for accuracy and manager approvals


• Assure processing accuracy of payroll hours, earnings, deductions, taxes and garnishments


• Prepare manual payments for terminations, severances, etc.


• Process Commission and Stock Payrolls


• Maintain and transmit deductions and data files for 401K, FSA, Commuter and HSA plans


• Assist with Report running and Month-End/Quarter-End Processes


• Maintain procedure manuals for all aspects of payroll


• Participate in special projects such as Workers Comp Audit and 401k Audit


• Have the ability and confidence to meet with employees and management and to maintain secrecy regarding employee information and financial data.


• Assist with payroll related tasks of newly acquired companies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent of 5+ years of related payroll experience


• Workday payroll software a must
  


• NetSuite and Blackline a plus


• Superb attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast paced, dynamic environment


• Effective communications and interpersonal skills
