Covia is looking for a dynamic Loadout Operator who will have a positive impact on the Operations team at its Crane, TX location. As a Loadout Operator, you will be accountable for checking trucks into the facility, ensuring the safe and productive operation of the loading of sand into pneumatic trailers and sand boxes and checking out the trucks that exit the facility.



The successful incumbent will have the following Key Accountabilities:



  • Comply with applicable MSHA regulations as outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and procedures

  • Take reasonable and necessary course of action to reduce or eliminate risk

  • Practice and advocate risk management practices of the operation

  • Adhere to site procedures and instructions given by supervisors

  • Operate equipment in a safe manner which is most efficient and reduces damage, downtime, and quality issues

  • Complete required paperwork in an orderly, accurate, and professional fashion

  • Assist with any continuous improvement projects, as necessary

  • Perform pre-shift and routine equipment and area inspections; maintain safe work environments in the loadout area

  • Check and maintain communications with drivers, loadout operators, load coordinators, and management as necessary

  • Maintain housekeeping in the loadout area

  • Coordinate movement of trucks on the premises

  • Load product (sand) into trucks

  • Enter accurate date into loadout spreadsheets; and complete and submit bills of lading in accordance with Company guidelines

  • Perform all other duties as needed or assigned



The successful incumbent will have the following Minimum Qualifications:



  • Good English communication skills - written and verbal

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Previous loading experience preferred

  • Prefer previous work experience in mining operations

  • Demonstrated commitment to safety with previous experience in identifying and managing risks

  • Demonstrated computer experience
