Job Description

The Production Lead will be based in Manchester, CT. Responsible for a variety of complex operations and duties in a production area.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

• Provide ongoing feedback on performance of individuals through both formal and informal evaluations.

• Capable of performing essential production tasks in assigned department.


• Responsible for daily management and support of the team in an efficient and effective manner to achieve operational success and maintain quality, and safety standards.


• Ensure that team members follow defined manufacturing procedures and comply with quality requirements as well as completing all documentation appropriately.


• Work positively with team members to define the processes/procedures/controls relevant to team activities.


• Coordinate people as well as resource requirements for the department.


• Report and alert resources concerning downtime to the management team.


• Interface with Maintenance and Automation technicians on equipment problems.


• Communicate to ensure smooth transition between shifts.


• Provide support and input for continuous improvement activities within the team.


• Initiate and participate in process development and cost improvement projects


• Consistently promote high standards through personal example and lead the team so that each member understands the standards and behaviors expected of them

• Demonstrates functional and/or process knowledge and participates in process. 


• Requires high level of competency related to function. 


• Demonstrates advanced technical skills.


• Ability to read and comprehend and interpret moderately complex instructions.


• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure.


• Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.


• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
