City Experiences is seeking a Human Resources Manager for our City Experiences operation in Chicago and Mid-Atlantic.

About the Opportunity:
The successful Human Resources Manager will personally contribute to the amazing internal and external guest experience, be favorably viewed by supervisors and peers, and be swift and efficient in the execution of their assigned duties. The successful Human Resources Manager will provide support to the fleet regarding all tasks HR related (employee relations, talent acquisition, payroll, benefits, etc). Performance will be measured by quality, service, departmental tests, management evaluation, and feedback from peers on the city’s team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Administrative
Consistently manage and update UltiPro and Lighthouse with important information for the fleet
Serve as HRIS expert for the HCE vertical, working in conjunction with Corporate Human Resources. This includes within payroll/HRIS system: data entry of new hires/position changes/terminations/ other updates or changes; updates to personnel information; auditing on a regular basis; running reports
Promote and improve HRIS as a user-friendly and useful communication portal for shipmates
Perform duties relating to HR, Benefits, and Payroll; such as, but not limited to, fielding questions and messages to appropriate party, preparing reports, performing audits, filing and maintaining records.
Work with local teams to provide timely responses to unemployment claims, employment verifications, etc.
Communicate with all Crew Members through all vehicles, including but not limited to Shared Email, in a professional and timely manner.
Manage CSR Strategic programs and/or serve as RESPECT champion for the department (e.g. wellness/Making Waves/Annual Rewards & Recognition programs)
Partner w/IT to manage workflow of onboarding/off boarding of employees through systems including but not limited to Fresh Service
Training
Facilitate onboarding for newly hired full-time shipmates
Create, maintain and conduct HR related training presentations
Ensure leadership and administrative positions are trained and able to run reporting in HRIS as necessary
Compliance
Assess employee relations items and concerns brought forward by Crew Members by following the Hornblower Company approach to employee investigations
Ensure fleet managers are executing appropriate performance management and progressive discipline techniques
Strategy/Planning
Partner with the business to create compliant job descriptions, post requisitions and assist with the overall recruitment process
Continuously improve processes and programs by using data and analytics to understand performance and behavioral trends across functions and ports
Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
Track exit interview responses for easy comparison & analysis for the executive team
Support and manage organizational design efforts by partnering with Operational and Functional Leadership
Participate in developing HR department goals, objectives, and systems; Implement/Operationalize HR strategies set forth by the Shared Services Human Resource Leadership
Identify and initiate necessary procedural improvements while communicating these updates with those applicable
Leadership
Actively provide support and training to other Specialists and Interns
Take initiative to lead HR Projects with the guidance of HR Leadership
Facilitate Leadership Development Programs
Act as a leadership coach to port and functional leadership
Other
Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
Serve as a partner with marketing department for the creation of flyers, posters, emails, and web updates of all things HR specific
Attend applicable meetings as designated or necessary
Act as a culture champion within the organization to continue to elevate the focus on the RESPECT Service System

Requirements & Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years human resources & payroll experience required, 4+ years’ experience preferred
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field required
SHRM, PHR, MHRM, MHRIR or other related advanced education preferred
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of employment laws and practices
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
High process and detail orientation
