Job Description:

Austin Bridge & Road is currently seeking an experienced Party Chief for projects in North Texas.  We excel at what we do and are looking for talented professionals that want to excel with us.


The Party Chief is responsible for performing survey for one or more projects.


 


Responsibilities


 


Specific Duties and Responsibilities



  • Check and perform some calculations

  • Check tie-in locations

  • Disseminate information properly to Survey Manager

  • Perform survey layout on projects

  • Complete accurate layout

  • Check and maintain accurate control

  • Perform timely layout

  • Clearly communicate survey layout

  • Adhere to standardized procedures and processes

  • Survey according to the practices and procedures defined by the Survey Department

  • Communicate with Party Chiefs, Survey Manager, and Field Crews

  • Communicate completion of tasks to Survey Manager

  • Communicate with other surveyors on project

  • Communicate to Survey Manager the field issues and/or concerns

  • Properly document survey layout being performed

  • Maintain equipment

  • Keep equipment clean & well maintained

  • Make sure equipment is calibrated

  • Maintain proper care of survey instrumentation

  • Perform other duties as assigned

 


Qualifications


 


Requirements:



  • Experience with Trimble systems

  • Experience managing crews
