As an Key Account Manager IDN, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. The Director of National Accounts position is responsible for development, execution, and communication of National Account Strategic Plans for assigned territory.

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.
 

Here, you will make an impact by:

• Developing relationships with assigned IDN customers to promote the Medical Solutions Division of 3M.


• Developing and implementing strategies and tactics for business retention and profitable growth within assigned accounts


• Providing strategic direction to the field sales organization to drive compliance, clinical value and growth within the highlighted portfolio


• Leading cross functional teams to achieve organizational goals


• Creating and Implementing strategic and operational plans


• Developing, presenting and communicating reports and analysis for the assigned accounts and field sales team as well as customers and targets, as needed


• Working with internal team members to ensure alignment with assigned customers.

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution


• Seven (7) years of medical device experience 


• Three (3) years in medical device sales with IDN responsibility


• Direct and/or Indirect experience leading and managing teams in strategy development and execution

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• MBA preferred


• Previous experience with Key, National, Corporate Accounts, or Large IDN management


• Experience with infection prevention, vascular access, wound care, quality, surgical and perioperative environments


• Experience with negotiating contracts, business strategy and key drivers for effective training programs


• Project management experience


• Regional management experience or direct team leadership experience


• Strong business and financial acumen


• Deep knowledge and expertise in healthcare economics, clinical outcomes, and supply chain management

Travel: May include up to 75% domestic
