The Regional Training Manager (RTM) will be responsible for the orientation/training of newly vetted candidates who will become authorized drivers under Quality Carriers Inc. operating authority. Additionally the RTM will be responsible for any refresher or
corrective action training for incumbent drivers or as otherwise instructed by QDI’s Vice President of Safety and Security or QDI’s Director of Security.


 


Essential Functions: 



  • Educate recruits on regulations and or compliance with but not limited to; DOT, FMCSA, DHS, CBP, Responsible Care® OSHA and EPA regulations.

  • Familiarization on; loading, unloading, and appropriate safe proper operation of liquid bulk tankers

  • Train drivers in the proper inspection, Commercial motor vehicle equipment as it relates to a QCI authorized drivers job description
    loading and unloading of cargo tanks

  • Define company policies and procedures.

  • Train drivers in defensive driving techniques

  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned

 


Requirements: 



  • 3-5 years employee training experience 

  • Ability to speak and or communicate comfortably and proficiently in front of others

  • Highly knowledgeable with current DOT Hours of Service Regulations, OSHA Regulations and EPA Regulations 

  • Ability to competently and effectively educate others in compliance

  • Knowledge of Hazardous materials and how they relate to the transportation industry in general

  • Experience educating others on defensive driving with Smith System certifications or other recognized certifications a benefit.

  • Effectively communicate to school attendees QDI/QCI’s core values as they relate to Environmental, Health, Safety and Security.

 


Travel Requirements: 



  • This role will require frequent travel to multiple training sites on a weekly basis.
