CHaD Child Passenger Safety Program - Assistant Instructor at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire

Job Description:

Purpose:

Reporting to the Program Manager of the Inury Prevention Center, provides instruction assistance and support to the Stae Child Passenger Safety OProgram. Instructs National CPS certification courses as well as Special Transport of Children with Special Needs classes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leads instruction of the National Child Passenger Safety Certification course if which students become certified Child Passenger Safety Technicains.

2. Leads the instruction, set up and planning of the Riley Hospital's nationally recognized course for the Safe Transportation of Chlidren with Special Health Care Needs.

3. Demonstrates interpersonal and professional skills necessary to work effectively with students, fellow instructors and the public.

4. Willing and able to travel to variouslocations throughout New Hampshire to instruct.

5. Preforms other duties as required or assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years as a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician Instructor.


• Must be approved as a lead instructor by Safe Kids International.


• A minimum of 4 years as a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician.  


• An associate’s degree is recommended..

Required Licensure/Certification Skills:

• Certification as a Child Passenger Safety Technician instructor.
