Job Description:

Sales Operations Management is responsible for overseeing the process design, administration and ongoing effectiveness of the following key areas within Sales Operations:  Speaker Bureau management, Fleet, Local Regional Conventions, Credentialing, Promotional Material Fulfillment and Field Communications.


Sales Operations Management administers vendor processes and overall productivity, ensuring ongoing effectiveness in alignment with business expectations. In a project management role, this individual will manage the administration of assigned sales operation processes and guides internal and external stakeholder engagement and alignment. Will analyze program vendor reports and metrics, organize key findings and, proactively deliver these key insights to the business. This individual also manages Speaker Bureau programs and Sales Fleet – utilizing a strong working knowledge of industry standards for Pharmaceutical programs, an understanding of legal and compliance risks and mitigation approaches.


Sales Operations Management is responsible for maintaining a focus on continuous improvement and creation of industry best internal and customer facing operations and processes.


RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Oversees management of the fleet program, local/regional conventions, credentialing processes and administering/managing promotional material for sales force.

  • Manages Speaker Bureau programs, strongly collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Leads vendor management for fleet program, speaker bureaus, local/regional conventions, credentialing; Includes contract negotiations and execution, performance and productivity oversight, relationship management as well as invoicing and budget alignment.

  • Creates opportunities to consistently monitor vendor performance, ensuring that all vendors are working in alignment with business expectations and agreed deliverables.

  • Proactively partners with vendors and internal stakeholders to analyze and report on vendor program analytics; transforming data into action-oriented insights to inform decision-makers and ensuring performance is being met. Manages periodic updates with key internal stakeholders to share insights.

  • Works closely with sales management to inspect quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement.

  • Savvy in working with Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.) PowerPoint and other reporting tools, to provide insights to the business on sales operations effectiveness.

  • Understands business needs and ensures that sales operations processes are aligned.

  • Monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in all sales operation efforts. Coordinates planning activities as needed with other functions and stakeholders within the organization.

  • Leads the operational integration for sales new hires including communication, fleet, promotional marketing materials, credentialing, territory master list and; requiring strong liaising with Training, Human Resources, Finance, new hires and more.

  • Manages and leads new hire orientation presentation for sales operations.

  • Manages field communications distribution and repository.

  • Responsible for proper SOP documentation related to duties and responsibilities within the operations and support teams.

  • Applies formal, best practice methodologies to develop and implement strategies to support the sales operations process.

  • Monitors the assigned sales organization’s and vendor compliance with required standards.

  • Provide input to senior leadership in the development and administration of related programs.

  • Support Sales Management and Stakeholders. Prioritizes and responds to a variety of requests in daily basis. Supports Sales and Marketing Meetings as required. 

REQUIREMENTS



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Any Life Sciences in addition is a plus.

  • Minimum 6 years of supporting commercial teams with client service/account management/operations in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Proficient understanding of brand and sales strategy in addition to market dynamics required.

  • Experience analyzing complex data sets and using business intelligence tools to provide and interpret data/metrics reports around the key areas of responsibilities to leadership.

  • Thorough knowledge of compliance related legislation, rulings and regulation requirements.

  • Foundational understanding of project management principles.

  • Experience with event planning/management.

  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

  • Experience working with Salesforce Effectiveness technology and reporting tools such as Veeva products, CRM/Approved, Email/Engage/PromoMats.
