Job Description:

Allios, Inc. is hiring a Directional Boring Operations Manager in the following area(s): Gilbert, AZ.

Who We're Looking For:

Allios Is currently looking for a Directional Boring Operations Manager to join our growing team in the Gilbert, AZ area.

What You'll Do:


  • Provide proactive leadership for all operators and for the, heavy equipment operations from the pricing and bidding phase through job execution

  • Submit permit applications for state, county, and city jurisdictions

  • Coordinate with state officials during the entire permitting process

  • Order and maintain annual and quarterly permits for drivers and heavy construction equipment in multiple states

  • Accountable for client satisfaction, service quality, cost control, and schedule, working as a team with Rental Operations and internal services.

  • Inspect job sites, size heavy construction equipment for job, develop lift plans, dispatch operators, and maintain schedules.

  • Develop operational management plan, including safety programs, quality plans, and equipment inspection/documentation plans, with the support of Equipment Team.

  • Manage financial aspects of Operations, from job setup to customer invoicing, labor & material costs, and forecasting, to ensure that Equipment meets profitability goals.

  • Take complete charge of all safety pertaining to the set-up, knockdown, and operation of heavy construction equipment

  • Keep heavy construction equipment and associated equipment clean and in good working order

  • Follow proper safety procedures when using power tools and test equipment

  • Maintain and submit complete and accurate files/logs/pictures/reports as determined by supervisor and/or other management personnel.

  • Develop and maintain a positive company image, to provide a strong example of quality, safety, and professionalism both internally with fellow employees and externally with customers

  • Provide superior customer service, ensuring all essential job functions are performed in a timely, efficient, accurate, and safe manner

  • Adhere to all driving requirements as determined by State and Federal regulations

  • Adhere to all Company and industry (i.e., OSHA) standards/regulations

  • Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle at all times

  • Other duties as assigned

The Skills and Background You'll Bring:


  • 5 years in heavy construction equipment operations with emphasis on drilling and boring machines operations.

  • Valid driver’s license and insurance and driver history that complies with company motor vehicle policy

  • Valid CDL Class B License

  • Valid NCCCO Operator License

  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • Must be able to pass a drug and background test

  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and drive or ride in vehicle for long periods of time

  • Must be available to travel up to 100% for weeks at a time if required and flexible to work shift work to include maintenance window and weekends if needed

  • Good oral and written communications skills and the ability to speak, write, and read English

  • OSHA Safety standards certification

  • Ability to work in extreme year-round outdoor environmental conditions

  • Periodic air travel will be required
