The selected candidate will support the existing technology landscape for our global data organization and evaluate new technologies for advancing our enterprise data and analytics platforms.

A core mission of the Architecture & Innovation team in Data & Performance is to ensure the selection and revision of a scaled, data & analytics architecture across the Enterprise at Schneider Electric. The architects of this vision are appointed by specialism, with an advanced understanding of the Schneider Electric business environment, partnering with peer organizations across the company.

The selection & revision of the architecture is achieved by maintaining an overarching view of capabilities required, their evolution in light of internal use cases, organizational experience & lessons learnt, industry trends & commentary, vendor touchpoints and in-depth vendor analysis. With this analysis, decisional meetings are held with key stakeholders to agree on the final outcome for that architectural component, anticipating cyclical reviews to assure the decision remains relevant considering the above components.

What do you get to do in this position?

• Monitor industry trends, commentary, best practice and success stories to influence BI & Analytics architecture direction at Schneider Electric
• Leverage data and analytics skills, tools, techniques and technology to guide the modernization of our broader enterprise information architecture
• Collaborate across data and analytics teams and stakeholders to drive common strategies and frameworks
• Develop the Analytics technology roadmap, soliciting input from cross organizational analytics leaders, stakeholders, and consumers
• Identify gaps or accelerators required in current technology toolkit for delivery, maintenance and/or operations
• Assure a decoupled approach to our technology architecture for future robustness
• Full comprehension of decisions in the Data Layers, to enable consultancy to stakeholders globally on Analytics layers
• Evaluate and shortlist technologies for specific use cases
• Consider holistic team organization needs when shortlisting technologies: delivery, maintenance & enhancements, 24x7 operation
• Execute Proof of Concepts (POC) of shortlisted technologies
• Guide Data & Analytics teams through platform re-architecture and new technology introductions to ensure value delivery, adoption & effective operations
• Form a trusted relationship with peer teams - including Engineering and Professional Services - and stakeholders globally.

This job might be for you have the following qualifications:

• BSc in Computer Science/Engineering (or similar)
• 10 years of experience in Analytics and Data Warehousing
• Hands-on experience in both delivery and operations
• 5 years' experience in enterprise solution and data architecture
• Project leadership experience
• AWS cloud platform experience. AWS certifications a plus.
• Kubernetes experience

• Analytical approach to problem-solving; ability to use technology to solve business problems

• Fast learner of new technologies
• Adapt easily to changing needs and requirements
• Readiness to self-define the scope and requirements
• Willing to navigate across the organization to secure task completion
• Ability and willingness to manage technology analysis E2E without additional support
