The Sales Consultant secures new clients for linen, work-wear industrial uniforms, and facility services sells and promotes approved, targeted products and services within a designated sales territory. Reports to the Regional Sales Manager and works closely with the Plant’s General Manager.

Compensation:

  • Base salary plus commissions

Essential Functions:

  • Proactively identify, solicit and motivate targeted prospects using a variety of methods such as cold-calling, drop-ins, lead qualifying, presenting proposals and sales funnel management

  • Maintain sales records and accurately fill out new client paperwork

  • Continually meet or exceed sales quotas and expectations

  • Follow company sales policies and procedures, including price/product guidelines and new account installation procedure

  • Build relationships, communicate openly, educate customers, manage customer needs and proactively work with other departments to smoothly transition a new customer

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending training, reviewing company’s policies and procedures, attending Sales Conferences

  • Prepare for client appointments by executing client research, tailoring sales materials, and leveraging available resources

  • Meet with prospective clients to secure their business

  • Execute appropriate follow-up client meetings to complete the sales process

  • Meet client timelines and deliverables for installation via close coordination with Plant production and service teams

  • Contributes to a team effort, working and supporting other sales personnel or functions as required by supervision

  • Monitor and report competitive activity

  • Recognize colors, sizes, and types of products. Proficient in basic Math skills


Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  •  Minimum 3+ years of business-to-business outside sales experience focused on new account generation, preferably selling a service

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Experience in contact-management software such as SalesNow preferred

  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

Typical Physical Activity:
Physical Demands/Requirements consist of standing, sitting, walking, stooping, driving, grasping, moving equipment, pushing, pulling, reading, speaking, hearing, and lifting up to 30 lbs.

Typical Environmental Conditions:


 Vehicles on public roads, inside general offices, customer locations, areas of a typical industrial laundry facility, Service Center, or depot.


Travel Requirements:
Daily, driving by vehicle within a designated sales territory. Regional and National Sales Conferences
