Job Description:

The Applications Analyst is responsible for directly supporting all technical PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System) support. This support includes hospital, imaging centers and medical group facilities and includes Radiology, Cardiology, and Oncology. The primary activity of this position is to ensure that site and system PACS systems perform as expected, that clinical operations and efficiencies are not impeded by technical hardware failures and all PACS environments are secure and properly maintained. This position does not directly manage any other employees.

Full-Time Position (80 Hours Per Pay Period)

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to prepare and present educational and informative presentations by means of Power Point or other audio/video equipment


• Excellent software/systems, organization and communication skills

• Works effectively under stress and frequently changing job requirements/situations


• Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (Equivalent work experience and similar successful professional experience may be substituted for Bachelor’s degree)


• Graduate of an accredited college or university. Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, management information systems, or computer science preferred


• Radiology Imaging Technology experience preferred

EXPERIENCE

• 
  Minimum of four years’ experience required.  Other experience should be in a healthcare environment which includes systems and procedures analysis, project management, systems support, or coordinating the data processing operations.
