Job Description:

The counselor works as an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team approach to the development and maintenance of a therapeutic community toward the rehabilitation of the target populations. The counselor provides primarily group therapy as well as individual therapy. The counselor will provide specialty group therapies, and psycho-education to clients and their families, prepares a comprehensive treatment plan, provides basic case management services, completes the initial evaluation, treatment plan updates and discharge planning, and documents treatment.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology or related mental health field.

2. Experience in the mental health field, preferably in an inpatient or outpatient setting.

3. Ability and willingness to establish and maintain harmonious relationships with clients, staff, referral sources and the professional community and general public.
4. Valid New Jersey driver's license and meet the requirement s of the agency's insurance carrier
