Job Description:

This position is responsible for claims with the most significant complexity. Employees assigned to this role have mastered investigative skills, management of outside experts in support of file direction and have mastered reserve analysis sufficiently to properly protect the company’s assets and reputation. This position routinely settles catastrophic and coverage dispute “type” losses. The ideal candidate would excel at data gathering and analysis, make great decisions, have a negotiating spirit and provide quality work.

In this role, you will:

• Be responsible for the day-to-day claims adjudication of assigned claims.
• Conduct investigations to determine and document claim compensability in accordance with Claims Department Guidelines.
• Be accountable for timely 3-point contact of interested parties, proper and timely reserve management, timely delivery of benefits in accordance with statutory requirements and proper documentation of all claims actions taken.
• Direct all facets of vendor assignment in managing the final outcome of claims process.
• Assist division supervisor in training and oversight of claims adjudication process.
• Be required to stand in for division supervisor on occasion.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Active Oklahoma Workers’ Compensation Adjusters License required
• 5 years of workers’ compensation claims handling experience required

Other Requirements

This position requires the physical ability to perform extensive repetitive motions in using a computer and the routine use of other office equipment. Work is typically performed while sitting and does not require heavy lifting.
