Grace Hospital is a long acute care hospital which provides services for medically-complex patients who require extended hospital stays. Grace Hospital is a 111-year old not-for-profit healthcare organization with corporate offices in Tremont. Grace Hospital also manages Specialty Hospital of Lorain, a long term acute care hospital.
Grace Hospital converted in 1995 from a community hospital to a long-term acute care hospital. Since then, we have served over 10,000 patient and families. Grace Hospital strives to provide excellence and compassion in caring. We accept referrals from all hospitals in Northeast Ohio.

We seek a President and CEO with the vision, energy, and leadership skill to take our organization into the future. The position requires a working understanding of clinical, regulatory, financial, human resource, information management, community, and organizational functions. The CEO sets high standards and leads by example in the provision of quality and compassionate care.

The CEO provides hospital operations management in a critical care environment, including analyzing and solving complex challenges. The CEO needs to have integrity, a positive attitude, and the ability to work under pressure. The CEO assures both clinical and fiscal management needs are concurrently met. |
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Healthcare or Business Administration preferred.
Three years of management in a Long Term Acute or Acute Care Hospital
A demonstrated track record of leadership and accomplishment.
Working knowledge of operational functions of an acute care hospital.
Knowledge of regulatory standards, HIPAA regulations, and compliance requirements.
Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Duties:
- Develops and successfully implements a Strategic Plan approved by the Board of Directors.
- Sets business strategy and promotes the mission, vision and values of the organization.
- Builds a management team that meets strategic, operational and programmatic goals.
- Adopts mechanisms to assure quality and compassionate are continuously provided.
- Effectively communicates on an ongoing basis with leadership, physicians, and staff.
- Maintains an “open door” policy for all patients, families, and staff.
- Ensures compliance with Federal, State, and Joint Commission standards.
- Continuously meets all regulatory compliance, HIPAA, and professional standards.
- Oversees development and meeting the requirements of an annual operating budget.
- Develops and implements plan to build a productive quality-oriented work force.
- Markets services and builds mutually-beneficial networking relationships.
- Develops positive mission-building relationships with the community.
- Oversees the development and attainment of case and quality management objectives.
- Supports employee and patient education to enhance knowledge, skills and behavior.
