Swim Lesson Coordinator - West Boise YMCA at TREASURE VALLEY FAMILY YMCA in Boise, Idaho

Job Description:

Whether it's just for recreation, learning to swim, or serious competition, the Y offers safe, healthy aquatics activities for kids of all ages and abilities. The Swim Lessons Coordinator is responsible for creating a safe, friendly, and encouraging atmosphere for participants by developing and managing a high-quality swim-lessons program. The coordinator will oversee the recruiting, selection, and supervision of instructors, monitoring class registration, building lesson schedules, and ensuring participant and parent satisfaction.

Key Qualifications: Must be a minimum of 18 years old. Current WSI/YSI certification with CPR, First-Aid, and Oxygen certifications required within 60 days. Certification classes available. Experience with staff supervision and customer service preferred. Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite and ability learn new software programs.

Schedule Requirements: This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week. All aquatics staff is required to attend regular in-service training outside of regular work hours. Must be present during programming, mornings/evenings Mon-Thurs and Saturday mornings. Schedule fluctuates by season.

Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to work in hot, humid, and loud environments for extended periods of time. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
