OVERVIEW

Original Penguin is searching for Sales Associates who can create an engaging shopping experience for our stylish customers. Responsibilities vary from; ensuring customer satisfaction, replenishing the sales floor as well as maintaining the overall visual appearance of the store in order to achieve a high level of service and sales productivity.

DUTIES &  RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Always interacts with customers in a courteous, friendly manner (e.g., maintains eye contact, smiles).
  Consistently greets customers in a prompt, friendly, and welcoming manner.


• Demonstrates product knowledge and fashion trends when speaking with customers to consult shopper and drive sales (e.g., knowledgeable about a product).


• Consistently productive throughout the entire shift (e.g., effectively uses idle time to replenish product, maintain visual displays, engage with customers, etc.).


• Consistently reports to work on time.


• Demonstrates flexibility with his/her schedule.


• Works with a sense of urgency


• Exhibits professionalism during all interactions with guests, employees, and Managers.


• Self-motivated to drive and achieve (e,g., is motivated by goals, takes initiative).


• Works cohesively with other staff as a member of the team.
   

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to perform effective selling techniques.


• Strong verbal and written skills


• Ability to lift 30Ibs merchandise onto the  stockroom shelving which may require the use of a ladder or step stool


• Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.


• Customer service-oriented. (outgoing, friendly, and personable with a positive attitude


• The ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
