Job Summary

The primary role of this position is to work under the direction of the Site Manager or their designate as a member of a crew performing various tasks as directed.  As a Production Technician, employee is responsible for performing all production work such as: starts, operates, tends, stops, and maintains machines. In addition, the technician fills, stacks and assembles finished products into cubes or bulk packages thru our automated filling system. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure each production batch is mixed and processed without deviation. Closely monitor amounts to ensure consistency and quality from batch-to-batch.


• Operate computer controls to monitor process flow status and automated processing equipment.


• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of assigned equipment on the processing line.  Follow established safety guidelines, and condition of equipment.


• Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of PLC’s. Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks and enters machine work orders and works with other support personnel when operational problems occur.


• Properly weigh and label staged product via use of scales and be able to read/understand both English standard and metric measurements.


• Other duties may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.

Requirements/Experience

• Ability to lift and carry up to 100lbs.


• Experience operating forklift, production machinery or heavy equipment a plus.


• Teamwork and communication skills.


• Willing to work a flexible schedule and overtime as required.
