We are looking for an ambitious, energetic problem solver to be that talent, and to help us find that talent. The Talent Acquisition Specialist is based out of our global headquarters in Harvey, IL. This person reports to the Corporate HR Director and will be an integral contributor to the success of our HR team by managing the overall execution of the talent acquisition process, as well as taking on a variety of Human Resources projects that are largely talent-focused.

What You'll Do:

• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of staffing and recruiting processes, strategies, and solutions, while aligning with Atkore's mission and values.


• Collaborate with HR business partners and hiring managers across business units to establish position requirements and ideal candidate profiles, while developing recruitment strategies catered to each new position.


• Source talent through UltiPro applicant tracking system and external job boards, such as LinkedIn Recruiter, CareerBuilder, and University Career Sites. Maintain high-touch relationships with a robust pipeline of highly qualified candidates.


• Schedule and conduct phone screens and in-person interviews, while providing candidates with interview feedback.


• Coordinate, participate, and execute HR strategic initiatives and projects including but not limited to improving Atkore's HRIS, managing Atkore's Leadership and Development Program, developing Employer Branding strategies, and improving job descriptions while working in cross-functional teams.


• Other duties and responsibilities as required.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.


• Knowledge of applicant tracking systems, as well as sourcing strategies including Boolean searches, market mapping, and pipelines preferred.


• Experience recruiting plant/manufacturing personnel preferred.


• At least 1 year of recruiting/sourcing experience preferred.

Within 3 Months, You'll:

• Complete your new hire "Immersion" so that you are ready to rock in your new role.


• Develop relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.


• Learn the recruiting module of our UltiPro Human Resources Information System (HRIS).


• Lead position 'intake calls' where you work with hiring managers and HR business partners to understand what their needs are and how you will best help them obtain the result they want.


• Handle initial candidate screenings, schedule candidate interviews, and provide candidate feedback.

Within 6 Months, You'll:

• Manage a requisition load of at least 15-20 salaried positions at various levels.


• Assist with in-person interviews and work with hiring managers in the hiring decision process.


• Learn Atkore's HR strategic initiatives and start working with project teams across the HR organization.

Within 12 Months, You'll:

• Be the subject matter expert in recruitment, while also being a key contributor on strategic initiatives and projects.


• Be known as a superstar recruiter, having placed dozens of successful candidates through your own skillful active and passive sourcing, understanding of the business, team-oriented approach to your role, solid relationships with HR business partners and hiring managers, and relentless urgency.


• Manage Atkore's Leadership and Development Program, which includes sustaining relationships with Universities, recruiting and hiring entry-level Engineers, managing project lists and rotations, and coordinating and scheduling events between Engineers and program stakeholders.
