Intern (Academic Credit) at University Research Co., LLC in Chevy Chase, Maryland

Hours: 16 to 24 hours per week (tentatively May through August 2021)

Division & Project Overview:

The Asia/MENA region is one of three Regional program divisions at URC/CHS and manages field-based health and development programs through a range of U.S. government funding mechanisms, including USAID, CDC, MCC and DOD. Asia/MENA currently supports projects in Cambodia, Myanmar, Philippines, and Kyrgyzstan.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Asia/MENA region can expect to work on a variety of activities pertinent to URC-CHS's mission. Among these are:

• Collect and analyze global and local healthcare data related to tuberculosis and HIV.


• Collaborate with a team on proposal drafting for USAID government contracts.


• Create background research reports on a variety of health topics like tuberculosis, digital health, reproductive health, etc.


• Assist in reviewing/development of technical briefs and fact sheets and documenting success stories

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a college program. BA or other Public Health related program


• Highly motivated, dynamic, detail-oriented, people-person


• Strong multi-tasking skills


• Ability to work in a fast paced environment


• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Desired Experience & Qualifications

• Applicants residing or attending school in the DC Metropolitan area preferred. Relocation assistance cannot be provided


• Completed high school diploma and/or currently enrolled in a college program.
